Bruno Massicotte, professeur titulaire au Département des génies civil, géologique et des mines, souligne que le pont envisagé dans le projet de 3e lien aurait une envergure exceptionnelle. Il précise que l’ouvrage nécessiterait une hauteur d’environ 74 mètres, dépassant même celle du Golden Gate, ce qui témoigne de sa grande complexité technique.

Alors que 66 radars photo supplémentaires seront installés sur les routes du Québec, Nicolas Saunier, professeur titulaire au Département des génies civil, géologique et des mines, affirme que de nombreuses études internationales démontrent que ces dispositifs contribuent efficacement à réduire la vitesse et les accidents graves sur les routes.
