Mission

Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT) activities are divided into two spheres:

ACADEMIC/RESEARCH SPHERE

The Academic/Research Sphere within Polytechnique Montréal International (POINT) focuses on four main areas of intervention, which support Polytechnique Montréal's internationalization and outreach efforts.

1. INTERUNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS

  • Development of international partnerships
  • Consolidation of existing partnerships
  • Diversification of mobility programs
  • Promotion of our interuniversity partnerships

2. CONSULTING SERVICES

  • Organization of international missions for the General Directorate
  • Monitoring international development for professors and departments
  • Sharing expertise and networks with various services
  • Support provided to international projects established by student organizations
  • Training of in-coming and out-going research interns 

3. MOBILITY GRANT PROGRAMS

  • Promotion and dissemination of financing opportunities to professors and students
  • Coordination of the mobility grant program with various departments and services 
  • Management of the financial aspects of certain grant programs allocated to professors and students

4. INTERNATIONAL outreach and REPReSENTATION

  • Welcoming of foreign delegations 
  • Representation of Polytechnique's interests as related to priority projects, and/or business development
  • Participation in international congresses and congresses about the internationalization of higher education 
  • Design and provision of outreach tools
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPHERE

Cooperation, training, research, knowledge dissemination: regardless of how it happens, Polytechnique Montréal's primary goal is to create a borderless university.

In conjunction with its network of partners, foreign authorities and establishments, Polytechnique Montréal's intiatives and accomplishments contribute to outreach efforts related to expertise, as well as contributing to sustainable international development based on knowledge creation, development, transmission, and sharing.
